Name Forever Etched in Conghua

This afternoon (Nov 5), the Hong Kong Jockey Club announced one stable transfer, one retirement, and one deregistration: METRO POWER 精彩福星 moved from the David Hayes stable to Jamie Richards; MONTA FRUTTA 花果猴王 from the Tony Cruz stable was retired; and Master Payment 支付之父 from the Dennis Yip stable was deregistered.

Among them, MONTA FRUTTA 花果猴王 finished last by over 50 lengths at Happy Valley last night (Nov 4). A post race examination confirmed an irregular heart rhythm for the third time within a 24 month period, leading to mandatory retirement.

Master Payment 支付之父 finished with double digit placings in both of his starts this season. He participated in a barrier trial at Conghua this past Monday (Nov 2), finishing fourth and passing the trial. However, he did not participate in any subsequent trackwork before being officially announced as deregistered today, indicating that the four year old PPG has passed away.
